Facial skin cleansing

Skin cleansing is the first step to beautiful and healthy skin. Regardless of whether you use make-up, your facial skin should be cleaned daily – preferably 2x a day – in the morning and evening. There are important stages for cleansing: three steps in the evening – removing make-up, washing, and toning. In the morning – washing and toning. In addition, once a week it is recommended to perform a gentle peeling to deep clean the dead cells of the stratum corneum and cleanse the skin even deeper.

If the top layer of the skin is not cleansed, it will not allow its deepest layers to absorb the valuable components of day and night face cream or masks, serums, and ampoules.

Currently, the offer of facial cleansers is so large that it is easy to get confused, so MARENCE specialists share advice.

Choose cleansers according to your skin type.

For dry skin use cleansing milk and then toner. The milk is applied to the face and removed with a tissue or cotton swab and rinsed with water, then use a toner that will restore the skin’s pH level. We often hear from customers that the use of toner is omitted, but we want to emphasize the importance of this cleansing step, because acidification of the skin to regain physiological levels is mandatory. Put the toner on a napkin or cotton swab and treat the face, neck, ears and the décolleté area, which ages very quickly. Then apply the serum and/or cream on the skin.

For oily, problematic skin with very pronounced oiliness, use water products – cleansing foam, gels, soap once or twice a day, then use a toner that will restore the skin’s pH level.

Micellar water – many women like to cleanse their skin with micellar water. It is designed to remove make-up and skincare products. Micellar water is well suited for quick cleansing if it is not convenient to perform the whole ritual. After using micellar water, we recommend washing your skin with water.

Besides daily cleansing the face, it is recommended once a week to perform a skin peeling to get rid of the dead cells of the stratum corneum and cleanse the skin even deeper. The scrub or peeling should be gentle, not abrasive. In addition, it is recommended for use only on the skin without inflammation and rash, otherwise the scrub may only worsen the condition of the skin.
